Previously, José was CEO of DHL Express & Logistics for Central America, and led the growth of Corporación Cormar as President and CEO for over 20 years before selling the business to DHL.  In addition, Jose served as Minister of Foreign Trade of Costa Rica from 1994 to 1997, and has led multiple public-private initiatives to promote foreign direct investment in Costa Rica, through his prior roles as president of CINDE, PROCOMER, and the National Investment Council.  He currently serves on the board of directors of some of the leading corporations in the country, such as Florida Ice & Farm Co., Purdy Motor, Corporación CAFSA, ITS Infocom, among others.

He is also actively involved in several residential developments, and the structuring of solar and wind projects.  Prior to E3, Ronald was the director of Business Development of Corporación Superior for over 15 years (a family conglomerate), Vice President of Volio Capital for 10 years (an investment bank), CEO of Almacenadora S.A. for 7 years, and founding partner at Terminales Santamaría S.A. (an air cargo terminal).  Ronald also served as a member of the National Comittee of INCAE, a leading business school, member of the Chamber of Industries, and Ambassador for Costa Rica in Mexico.

Armando Gonzalez-Investment Manager

Armando graduated with a dual major in Economics and Business (Cum Laude) from Northeastern University in 2014. He had prior experience through multiple internships (banking, retail, cement industry) and had a leading role in a Venture Accelerator at Northeastern during his final years of college. Armando has a very hands-on approach, and is not hesitant to doing whatever needs to get done on specific projects or potential deals. Since joining E3 in June 2015, he has been lead analyst for LEAD University, where he now holds a direct role supervising the financial and commercial areas. Furthermore, Armando also allocates part of his time to analysis and follow-up of certain potential deals.

Alejandro Azmouz-Investment Manager

Alejandro has a Master in Finance from EADA Business School (2012- Spain). He also has a Bachelor´s in Business Administration (Magna Cum Laude) from UNITEC (2011- Venezuela). Since joining E3 in April 2015, he has been lead analyst on the PC deal where E3 has played both the role of investment bank (structuring the financial instrument, and fundraising) and General Partner once the investment was closed. Alejandro has had leading roles in several M&A deals, and has a leading role in the Country Club project. Prior to E3, Alejandro worked as Financial Analyst in Copal Amba (a Moody´s subsidiary) for a sell-side client in one of the top investment banks covering the consumer finance industry (Mortgage REITs and Business Development Companies).

Randall Castro–Investment Manager

Randall graduated with a Bachelors in Economics from the University of Costa Rica, and holds a Masters in Finance from FUNDEPOS. After joining E3 since its founding, and through his previous experience, Randall has been involved in dozens of investment banking deals from beginning to end. Randall is keen on seeing things through the strict rational lens of an economist, and has the valuable ability to quickly visualize the incentives for all parties involved in a deal. Randall currently leads several M&A deals in the pipeline, and has had the lead analyst role in the GKH operation since 2014, serving indirectly as CFO and controller on behalf of E3 (the GP).
