José Rossi - Partner
Founding Partner at E3 Capital, with leadership responsibilities at LEAD University, PC, ITS, as well as investment banking deals. Previously, José was CEO of DHL Express & Logistics for Central America, and led the growth of Corporación Cormar as President and CEO for over 20 years before selling the business to DHL.
In addition, Jose served as Minister of Foreign Trade of Costa Rica from 1994 to 1997, and has led multiple public-private initiatives to promote foreign direct investment in Costa Rica, through his prior roles as president of CINDE, PROCOMER, and the National Investment Council.
He currently serves on the board of directors of some of the leading corporations in the country, such as Florida Ice & Farm Co., Purdy Motor, Corporación CAFSA, ITS Infocom, among others.
Ronald Gurdián - Partner
Founding partner at E3 Capital with leadership responsibilities at Santa Ana Country Club project and is a board member of Giacomin. Ronald is also a board member of the following leading companies in Costa Rica: Tostadora El Dorado (food distribution), ITS (technology), Pampa y Cielo (coffee farm), and ADA (education non-profit). He is also actively involved in several residential developments, and the structuring of solar and wind projects.
Prior to E3, Ronald was the director of Business Development of Corporación Superior for over 15 years (a family conglomerate), Vice President of Volio Capital for 10 years (an investment bank), CEO of Almacenadora S.A. for 7 years, and founding partner at Terminales Santamaría S.A. (an air cargo terminal).
Ronald also served as a member of the National Comittee of INCAE, a leading business school, member of the Chamber of Industries, and Ambassador for Costa Rica in Mexico.
Carlos Baeza - Partner
Carlos assumes a leading role in Giacomin and PC, as well as investment banking deals. Carlos has also been a strategic consultant to over 130 companies over the past 20 years. He has expanded his services to the United States, Mexico, Central America, and South America. His work has revolved around the design of corporate strategies, international expansion plans, corporate transformation processes, and market research.
In addition, Carlos was previously Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for Grupo Constenla, a leading food distributor in Costa Rica, and was COO at Holcim (now Lafarge-Holcim) for over 6 years. Carlos currently serves on the board of directors of leading Costa Rican companies, such as Grupo Pelón, Gestionadora de Crédito, Farmavision, Jardines del Recuerdo, among others.
Alejandro Azmouz - Investment Manager
Alejandro has a Master in Finance from EADA Business School (2012- Spain). He also has a Bachelor´s in Business Administration (Magna Cum Laude) from UNITEC (2011- Venezuela). Since joining E3 in April 2015, he has been lead analyst on the PC deal where E3 has played both the role of investment bank (structuring the financial instrument, and fundraising) and General Partner once the investment was closed. Alejandro has had leading roles in several M&A deals, and has a leading role in the Country Club project. Prior to E3, Alejandro worked as Financial Analyst in Copal Amba (a Moody´s subsidiary) for a sell-side client in one of the top investment banks covering the consumer finance industry (Mortgage REITs and Business Development Companies).
